Active Learning allows students to help shape their own learning, leading to experiences that are relevant, meaningful, and fun! It provides opportunities to engage with course content and concepts, as well as other learners. This workshop will explore a number of Canvas tools that offer a variety of creative ways of promoting active learning in online classrooms. We will look at specific examples and brainstorm new ways to put these tools to work in our own courses. Emphasis will be placed on using tools and designing learning experiences that are accessible and reflect Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
