Developing online learning that is at once accessible, affordable, and engaging can sometimes seem like a tall order. Our goal is to demonstrate how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provides a framework for the selection, development, and incorporation of Open Educational Resources (OER) in Canvas. This introduction to UDL-informed OER will provide a baseline set of considerations on which you can build a personalized and innovative open practice. UDL and OER leverage a common set of objectives to eliminate barriers, increase access and inclusivity, promote engagement, and support learner achievement. Let’s build learning that is open for everyone!
